Blackberry Whiskey Smash
I’ve had a bottle of Bird Dog Blackberry whiskey for a couple years and always had a hard time being motivated to use it over the rest of the bar. I finally decided to spend last weekend experimenting with it. I think I nailed it on the 2nd attempt! It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite spring/early summer drinks in a long time.
The Elements
2oz Bird Dog Blackberry Whiskey
3 Blackberries
.5oz Lemon juice
.5oz Simple syrup
10 mint leaves
The How To
Add all ingredients to a shaker and gently muddle. Don't break up the mint too much.
Add ice and shake until chilled.
Pour into lowball glass, no need to strain.
Garnish leaves a lot of options, blackberries, mint sprigs, lemon peel. I went with blackberries and lemon peel.
