Gin & Tonic
While at the beach, a cocktail must be simple and refreshing above all else. The Gin & Tonic is as easy to make as any highball, as refreshing as Frosé, and as classy as a Martini. It’s the ultimate beach and summer drink.
In my opinion, there’s only one rule to a gin and tonic, use the 1:2 golden ratio. That’s 1 part gin to 2 parts tonic. The glass, ice quality, garnish, and method of making are all dependent on the situation you are in.
The Elements
2oz Dry Gin (I used Durham Distillery’s Conniption American Dry)
4oz Tonic
Lime wedge to garnish
The How To
Add ice to collins or highball glass.
Add Gin and Tonic to the glass.
Stir to combine.
Garnish with lime wedge.
Enjoy!
