Americano Cocktail
Don’t be fooled by the name, the Americano Cocktail isn’t exactly my first choice to represent the American pallet. The bitterness of the Campari shines the most, followed by the rounded sweetness of the Rosso Vermouth, and finally the herbal flavors of the Campari. No hint of alcohol, no citrus. It’s far from a typical classic American Cocktail.
Now that the disclaimer is out of the way. I absolutely love this cocktail. The club soda cuts most of the harsh bitterness of the Campari and you are left with a very well rounded drink. I could honestly see this being a go to drink in any season.
